The Panda Shepherd is a purebred dog. It is in actuality a purebred German Shepherd Dog which was born with a piebald coat coloring from a black GSD dam and a black and tan sire. It was an odd genetic mutation which had never been seen before. The same sire and dam had several more litters but was not able to reproduce the black/tan/white coloring. When this piebald female puppy matured she was bred to a traditional colored black and tan sire and the litter of four had produced three more black/tan/white puppies. Unlike their piebald mother, these pups did not have blue eyes.

Regardless, of size, all dogs are a mammal of the Canidae family, of the order Carnivora. Canis lupus familiaris, which is a domesticated subspecies of the wolf. Commonly referred to as a canine, dogs have instincts, which we as humans have a responsibility to fulfill.
